Floripa Days 3 and 4

Day 3 

Left Barra da Lagoa early in the morning checking out in the rain and heading down to Matadeiro after the epicness of the previous day.  With all my stuff in the car I go one of the pay car parks.  Sadly the waves were not quite as perfect as the previous day.  However I probably had my best surf, threading a few turns together on some waves- still nothing absolutely epic.  Post session was quite hungry so headed down to a snack bar for a Brazilian take on a burger (Was pretty good) with some Acai smoothie.  Post food did not feel like another surf and Matadeiro was quite blown by now.  Crusied the coast a bit but not much.

Checked into the hostel in Lagoa- being in town is much better.  I checked Joaquina and Mole afterwards but they both looked very blown so didn't fancy it.  Instead headed back to the hostel and had a wander around town.  

Was a good crowd in the hostel- headed down to a pub/bar place in town with 2 Irish, a Turkish and an Italian.  Ended up there until 3 in the morning and got a lift back home.

Day 4

After the night out was a bit tired so slept in until around 9.  Grabbed some breakfast before heading out for a surf at Mole.  Paid a different car parking guy this time.  The paddle out was brutal, absolutely brutal, I felt I was being found out on a 5'10 again.  But I made it out many duck dives later.  Caught a few short waves, one definately felt overhead- there were some steep sections on the inside.  However the duckdiving had washed off most of my sun cream.  I was begining to feel the sunburn even though it was cloudy.  i really did not want the red faced gringo look, does not help with the ladies, like poor old housemate Chris got in Cali.  So I took a wave back in.  Was good timing as had a loose fin so needed to head back to the hostel to grab my fin key.

On the way back knocked out some pull ups on the below bars by the lake.

Had a lunch at one of the kilo places (wehere you pay by kilo- in my case a lot) as post surf I was starving.  Grabbed a coffee later in the afternoon to wake up.  Went back to Praia Mole- again absolutely brutal paddle out.  Only caught one wave, whoch closed out before calling it a day and heading back.
